MEDICAL CHECK UP
All GrabCar applicants are required to complete the mandatory JPJ medical examination (JPJL8A) as part of the PSV license application process.
PSV License
PSV (Public Service Vehicle) License under the TEKSI / KERETA SEWA / E-HAILING category is mandatory for all e-hailing drivers in Malaysia.
E-Hailing Insurance
Please contact your vehicle insurance provider regarding daily or annual e-hailing insurance coverage requirements.
Grab has partnered with various insurance providers across Malaysia to support e-hailing drivers with eligible coverage options and benefits.
Puspakom Inspection
E-Hailing vehicle inspection must be completed at the nearest PUSPAKOM branch.
Only vehicles aged 2 years 6 months and above are required to undergo the e-hailing inspection process.
Grab EVP (E-Hailing Vehicle Permit)
Your registration admin will assist to process your Grab EVP application with APAD once you have completed your registration through the SIGN UP button.
Reimbursement Program
All new applicants who successfully obtain their PSV License are eligible for reimbursement.
• Applicants who complete their PSV License directly with Grab are eligible for 100% reimbursement after account activation. In short, the PSV License is FREE.
• Applicants who complete their PSV License with any non-Grab panel driving institute in Malaysia are eligible for reimbursement of up to RM100 after Grab account activation.
In addition, the EVP (E-Hailing Vehicle Permit) fee worth RM115 and mandatory JPJL8A medical check-up cost will also be covered by Grab, subject to the latest terms and conditions.

Grab reserves the right to add or remove any vehicle model at its sole discretion. All decisions made by Grab are final and binding.
Grab operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Drivers are free to go online and drive anytime based on their own preferred schedule and availability.
Whether part-time or full-time, Grab gives drivers the flexibility to earn according to their own timing.

Grab Driver Potential Income
On average, drivers may generate around RM20–RM40 per hour depending on demand, location, driving hours and incentive availability.
Drivers have full flexibility to decide their own working schedule and weekly income target — whether driving part-time for extra income or full-time as a main source of earnings.
GrabCar Driver Registration (Additional Requirements)
Effective from 12 October 2019 onwards, all e-hailing drivers in Malaysia are required to possess a valid PSV License (Public Service Vehicle) under the TEKSI / KERETA SEWA / E-HAILING category.
All vehicles registered for Grab or any e-hailing platform must also have:
• Valid E-Hailing Insurance coverage
• EVP (E-Hailing Vehicle Permit) approval

Yes, GrabCar drivers are allowed to operate using vehicles that are not under their own ownership, subject to the requirements below:
Requirements:
• The GrabCar driver’s name must be stated in the insurance cover note, OR
• The insurance cover note must state ALL DRIVER / ANY AUTHORISED DRIVER / AUTHORISED DRIVER coverage
If you have previously driven for GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabBike, GrabExpress or GrabTaxi before, you DO NOT need to register again.
